Announcement: The Templars of Alderath Paperback Released
A post announcing the official release of The Templars of Alderath paperback version.
The paperback version of The Templars of Alderath is finally done, and getting it across the finish line ended up being more of a process than I expected.
Finishing the ebook felt like crossing a line. The paperback made me realize there was still more to learn. Mainly formatting quirks, small fixes, and a handful of cover art printing problems I hadn’t seen coming.
What surprised me most, though, was how many people were waiting on the paperback. I have a handful of friends who don’t use Kindles at all—they were holding off completely. I didn’t think much about that at first, but it shifted how I see it.
The ebook got it out there. The paperback makes it real.
And yeah, holding it in my hands is pretty cool too.
Announcement
The paperback edition of The Templars of Alderath is now officially live on Amazon.
If you’ve been waiting to get a physical copy, it’s available now and ready to go. This version isn’t just a format change, it represents the most complete and finalized version of Book 1. Going through the paperback process gave me the chance to revisit the manuscript with fresh eyes, clean up lingering issues, and make sure everything felt consistent from front to back.
At the same time, I’ve updated the ebook to match these changes, so both versions are now fully aligned. No matter which format you prefer, you’re getting the same, definitive version of the story.
This is the version I consider “locked in.” The one that reflects what the book was supposed to be from the start, without the small gaps and rough edges that tend to slip through the first time around.
If you’ve already picked up the ebook, you’ve now got the updated version. And if you’ve been holding out for paperback, this is the one worth grabbing.
Updates
Along with the paperback release, the ebook has been updated to match it completely—including the cover. Both versions are now fully in sync, so whichever format you pick up, you’re getting the same finalized experience.
One of the bigger additions is a new short story included at the end of the book that starts a follow-on series called The Shadow of Arthan. This short story series will serve as a small bridge between events in book 1 and book 2 by adding context behind the scenes of Arthan's resistance against the Empire. Future entries will be released here on my website for newsletter subscribers.
From here, my focus is shifting a bit. I’ll be spending time experimenting with ads and figuring out how to get Book 1 in front of more readers. At the same time, I’ll be continuing The Shadow of Arthan, while working through the planning stages for Book 2 and Book 3.
I’ll share more details on all of that in a future post.
Conclusion
I appreciate everyone who’s supported this project so far—whether you picked up the ebook early, waited patiently for the paperback, or just followed along while I figured things out.
If you’ve been holding off, the paperback is now available, and the ebook has been brought fully up to date alongside it. And if you’re interested in what’s coming next, you can join the newsletter to follow The Shadow of Arthan and get future updates as they roll out.
There’s still a lot ahead, but things are moving in the right direction. One step at a time.
