My goals for this blog and business going forward.
Welcome to my blog, and thanks for dropping in. I thought I'd make the first post about my goals and plans going forward, so you can get an idea of what you will get from this.
First and foremost, I’ll be sharing updates on my novels as they take shape—where I’m at in the process, what’s working, and what’s keeping me up at night. Writing a book is a long road, and I think it’s more fun when readers can walk some of that road alongside the author.
Beyond progress updates, I want to give you a look behind the curtain. That means sharing bits of character backstory, glimpses into the worldbuilding, and even the odd map or sketch when they show up in my notes. Some weeks I’ll step back and write about the creative life itself—what it’s like balancing faith, family, and the work of building an author business from scratch.
As this community grows, I’ll also be launching subscription-based serial novels and bonus content for readers who want to dive even deeper. That will include not just extra stories but also personal art pieces of characters and scenes, since I’m steadily growing as a digital artist and love bringing my worlds to life visually. My hope is that this blog becomes a mix of storytelling, reflection, and connection, with something here each week that makes you feel part of the journey.
The Roadmap Ahead
In the short term(1-6 months), you can count on weekly blog posts right here and a monthly newsletter with bonus content and updates. My first novel is in the final stages of editing now, which means its release on Amazon is right around the corner. That’s the first big milestone, and I'm really excited as it's a great story.
In the medium term(6-12 months), I’ll be rolling out subscription-based content, in the form of extras for readers who want more than just the main novels. This will be the place for side stories, world lore, and some personal artwork to go along with it. Around that same time, I’ll also be starting work on my second novel, keeping the momentum going.
The long-term plan is to hit a steady rhythm—two full novel releases each year. My hope is to release them first as serials for subscribers as I write them, giving you the chance to follow along chapter by chapter, then publish the complete books through Amazon and other outlets once they’re done.
